King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) in Riyadh is a premier institution founded in 1982, exclusively dedicated to advanced eye healthcare and serving patients across Saudi Arabia and neighboring Gulf countries. With 250 beds and a team of 1,800 staff, including 198 doctors, it is one of only three government-specialized ophthalmology hospitals in the Kingdom.
KKESH delivers tertiary eye care, trains healthcare professionals, and conducts cutting-edge research, publishing over 100 peer-reviewed articles annually. It is the first hospital in the Middle East to achieve HIMSS Stage 7 EMRAM in clinical services twice, and recently transitioned into an independent non-profit entity under the Royal Commission for Riyadh City.
