The King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Gen. Org.), Jeddah (KFSH&RC-J) is a major health care organization that is known all over the world for providing excellent patient care. A major hospital with 500 beds. As ranked by Gen.Org, it is one of three campuses of the best tertiary acute care centers.
In the 1990s, the building was first used as a private hospital. It was then bought by the Saudi government and opened to the public in March 2000, thanks to a gift from King Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz, who is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He wanted to give the people in the Western area the best medical care possible.
Since it opened, this care center in Jeddah has grown to become one of the best in the Middle East. Building and opening of a new medical city north of Jeddah, near the airport, is part of a major growth that is currently taking place. The first part of this new hospital will open in late 2021 or early 2022. It will have more than 1,000 beds, including 152 ICU beds and 30 surgery rooms. There will also be brand-new housing for staff at the new site.
In the middle of the city, Jeddah has kept some of its old buildings while also building beautiful, classic houses and new high-rise towers. There are many places in the city that serve food from all over the world and at all price points.
